Extron DTP3 T 322 D Wallplate Transmitter Brings USB-C and HDMI Connectivity to Any Location

Extron has announced the DTP3 T 322 D, a two-input decorator-style wallplate transmitter that extends USB-C and HDMI signals — along with embedded audio, USB data, power, and control — up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a single shielded CAT 6A cable. The DTP3 T 322 D supports video resolutions up to 4K/60 at 4:4:4, including 5K, and transports all supported resolutions without compression to preserve image quality and minimize latency. The unit complies with HDCP 2.3 and connects USB-C sources that support DisplayPort Alt Mode.

When paired with the optional Extron UPI 100 Power Inserter, the wallplate can deliver up to 100 watts of USB-C power delivery to charge a connected device — a practical advantage in conference rooms, classrooms, and worship spaces where users expect to keep devices powered during a presentation.

Integrator-friendly features include EDID Minder for stable display communication, automatic input switching between the USB-C and HDMI inputs, remote power capability, bidirectional RS-232 extension for remote AV device control, and USB 2.0 extension. The unit is available in black or white to match standard decorator wallplate installations.
